Both remove background noise and noise reduction are features that make your recording sound clean and professional, but there are a few differences to note:
Noise reduction
- A filter that can be toggled on/off in the studio before or during recording
- Applies to all participants' audio tracks
- Changes the raw audio that is recorded
- Cannot be removed from the recording tracks after the recording session is complete
Remove background noise in the editor
- A filter that can be toggled on/off in the editor after recording, before exporting
- Changes the audio in the recording track that you export from the editor
- Does not change the raw recording ('non-destructive')
