I adjusted my solo recording track's volume, why does it sound louder in the export?

Riverside automatically normalizes all exported recordings so that they meet industry volume standards and are not rejected from platforms such as Spotify. If you adjusted a track in a solo recording to sound quieter, our normalization may bring the volume of your track to a higher level than your adjustment in the editor.

For recordings with multiple participants, you can manually normalize audio levels in the editor to balance the sound yourself. When you export the clip, Riverside normalizes the export to meet industry standards.
