What is the FPS and resolution of a screen share?

Frame rate

  • The frame rate for screen shares in the browser is 30 FPS.
  • The frame rate for screen shares on the MacOS desktop app is 24 FPS, and Business plan users can adjust it to 25 FPS or 29.97 FPS.

Resolution

  • The maximum resolution for tracks recorded on the web is 1920x1080.
  • The maximum resolution for tracks recorded on the MacOS desktop app is up to 4k, depending on the resolution of the screen being recorded.
