Publish to Instagram: Requirements

Before publishing to Instagram, make sure your video meets Instagram's Reel requirements:

  • Video duration: 3 seconds to 15 minutes
  • Video file size: up to 300 MB
  • Aspect ratio: must be exactly 4:5, 9:16, or 1:1
  • Max horizontal resolution: 1920 px wide
  • Accepted formats:
    • MP4
    • MOV
  • Watermark: allowed 
  • Caption: up to 2,200 characters 
  • Hashtags in caption: up to 30 
  • Mentions in caption: up to 20
