Hosting: Schedule a future publishing date and time

Line up your next episode ahead of time and let Riverside publish it for you at the exact date and time you choose.

  1. Log in to your Riverside account.
  2. Navigate to the relevant studio.
  3. From the sidebar on the left, click Hosting.
  1. On the right side of the screen, click + New.

  2. To add an episode thumbnail, hover over the podcast cover art and click the edit-2.svg edit icon.
    The episode thumbnail applies to Apple Podcasts and Spotify only.
  3. Enter the episode title.

  4. Select a Riverside file or upload an external file.
    Each file must be under 10 GB and shorter than 180 minutes (3 hours).

  5. In the description text field, enter the episode description.
    Or, click the Suggestion icon.svg Generate description icon to auto-generate a description.
    Note that not all listening platforms support rich formatting.

  6. Under Season number, enter a number (optional).

  7. Under Episode number, enter a number (optional).

  8. Under Type, choose the episode type from the dropdown: Normal episode, Bonus, or Trailer.
  9. Under Content warning, toggle on if the episode contains explicit content.
  10. Under Video thumbnail, click the plus icon to upload a custom thumbnail for your epsiode.
  11. Click Schedule.

  12. Under Schedule publishing, select a date, time, and time zone.

  13. Click Set date.

  14. Click Save.
    The episode's status shows as Scheduled and publishes automatically at the date and time you chose.

Icon.svg Good to know

  • To schedule an episode, you need to be connected to at least one listening platform.
  • It can take up to one hour after the scheduled time for your episode to appear on your listening platforms. 
  • Audio and video files can't be replaced once uploaded, including for episodes that are scheduled.
