Hosts and producers can remotely turn a participant's microphone on or off during or before a recording session. Muting a participant's microphone happens immediately and does not require their approval.

Step by step
- Join a studio as the host or as a producer.
- On the sidebar on the right, click
People.
- Next to the relevant participant, click the down arrow to expand their panel.
- Hover over the tile next to the participant's name.
- Click the microphone icon to mute them.
- Click the microphone icon again to unmute them.
When a guest or host's microphone is muted, they don't record audio on their high-quality track.
If a participant is using Speak/Listen mode on their mobile device, muting or unmuting them will switch them between having their device's speaker turned on or their microphone enabled.
