« to Riverside editor: Overview
You can easily remove captions in the editor with a few simple clicks. You can also hide captions in individual scenes without affecting the rest of the edit.

Steps on a computer
From the video canvas
- Log in to your Riverside account.
- Open a recording in the editor or upload an external file to start editing.
- Click the caption text on the video canvas.
- From the caption's context menu, click ••• [the three dots].
- Click Remove captions.
This deletes all captions from the entire video.
From the editor toolbar
- Log in to your Riverside account.
- Open a recording in the editor or upload an external file to start editing.
- From the editor toolbar, click Captions.
- At the bottom of the captions panel, click Remove Captions.
This deletes all captions from the entire video.

Steps on a phone
- Open a recording from the Riverside mobile app.
- In the video frame, tap the caption text.
- At the bottom of the screen, tap
Remove to delete the caption.
This deletes all captions from the entire video.
Hide captions in specific scenes
You can hide captions in individual scenes without affecting the rest of the edit. This is useful in scenes where captions may be unnecessary or distracting.
- Click the caption text on the video canvas.
- From the caption's context menu, click ••• [the three dots].
- Click Hide in this scene.
This deletes the captions from the current scene
Good to know
- To remove specific lines from your captions, change the caption text to spaces or another empty character.
