Step by step

Using a computer
- Log in to your Riverside account.
- Open a recording in the editor or upload an external file to start editing.
- In the transcript, click and select a word or phrase.
- Click
Correct.
- Type in the replacement text.
- Click
Correct to save the change.
Or clickCorrect everywhere to replace all instances of the word.
Corrected words appear with a dotted purple underline in the transcript.

Using a phone

Open a recording from the Riverside mobile app.
On the mobile app, you can create new drafts, but you are not able to make changes to in-progress drafts made on a computer. - Tap
Correct at the bottom of the screen.
- In the transcript, tap a word or multiple adjacent words.
- Tap Correct to save the change.
Or tap All to replace all instances of the word.
Corrected words appear with a dotted purple underline in the transcript.

Open a recording from the Riverside mobile app.
Good to know
- You can also use the keyboard shortcut on your computer:
C to correct selected word(s) in the transcript
- You can merge two words when correcting the transcript, as long as there is no pause between them in the audio.
- The edit's captions use the corrected text. The downloadable transcription and subtitle files and any other edits from the same recording also include the corrections.
