How does AI Voice work?

With Riverside's AI Voice, you can convert written text to audio speech that uses your voice.

AI Voice works through the following:

  1. The AI Voice feature doesn't analyze your voice unless you activate it by clicking Generate AI Voice.
    •  When you click this button, you are agreeing to use the AI Voice feature.
    • To opt out, do not click Generate AI Voice. 
  2. You can only generate AI Voice recordings with your own voice. Each logged in Riverside Business team member can generate their own AI Voice.
    • Only you can generate an AI Voice recording with your voice.
    • You cannot generate voices of your guests.
    • You cannot generate voices from media uploaded to Riverside.
  3. Your voice must be authenticated to ensure that you only generate recordings with your own voice.
    • You must be logged in to your dedicated Riverside account, using your own unique login credentials, to generate AI Voice.
      • If you share your log-in credentials with someone else and they record while logged into your account, AI Voice will not work properly.
    • We know what your voice sounds like based on the last two recording tracks you recorded when you were were logged into your account.
    • We only use recordings that were created in the last 120 days.
  4. When you click Generate AI Voice, the AI analyzes your authenticated voice from your last two recordings created in any studio on your account.
    • It uses recent recordings that are at least two minutes long, where you are talking for at least 30 seconds.
  5. You can include up to 2,000 characters for each AI Voice recording and up to 5,000 total characters a month. This is based on your billing month (either the date you are billed for your monthly subscription or the subsequent months following the date you purchased your annual subscription).
    • If you're on a Business plan, the limit is per person, so each person on the plan can use a total 5,000 characters a month.
