YouTube requires phone verification to access intermediate features and to help prevent spam and abuse. When connecting Riverside to YouTube, you may be prompted to verify your account using a phone number.

Step by step
Sign into your YouTube account.
In the lower-left corner, click Settings
Click Channel status and features.
Click Feature eligibility.
Next to Intermediate features, click the
arrow.
Click Verify phone number.
Enter your phone number (including country code) and click Next.
Enter the code, then click Submit.
You will see a confirmation message stating that your phone number has been successfully verified.
Good to know
- A phone number can be used to verify a maximum of two YouTube channels per year.
- If you are having trouble receiving the verification code by text message, try using the phone call option with an automated voice message instead.
