Claiming your podcast on Spotify lets you add video, access additional listener analytics data, and view ratings and reviews directly from your Spotify for Creators account.

Before you can claim your podcast, connect it to Spotify and publish at least one episode there. The Claim on Spotify for Creators option appears only once an episode is live on Spotify.
Step by step
- Log in to your Riverside account.
- Navigate to the relevant studio.
- From the sidebar on the left, click Hosting.
- At the top of the screen, click Spotify.
- Select Claim on Spotify for Creators.
- Next to Copy your Riverside RSS URL, click Copy.
- Click Go to Spotify for Creators.
You are redirected to https://creators.spotify.com/dash/submit - Click Find an existing show then click Somewhere else.
- Paste the RSS feed link of your podcast and click Next.
- If this is your podcast, click Next.
- Under Verify that you own this podcast, click Send code.
- Look for an email titled Your Spotify for Creators code.
- Paste the code into Spotify for Creators and click Next.
- Under Tell us more about your podcast, select the country where your podcast is made, the primary language spoken in your podcast, and the primary category.
- Click Submit.
Good to know
- If your podcast wasn't created in Riverside or imported into Riverside, claiming it here creates a new Spotify show instead of connecting to your existing one, resulting in duplicate shows on Spotify. To claim an existing Spotify show with full functionality, import your podcast to Riverside first, then connect the imported podcast.
- If you update your RSS feed directly through Spotify, new episodes still appear on your Spotify feed, but Riverside will not be able to collect podcast analytics for those episodes. Riverside only collects analytics for shows after it has created or imported them.
- Basic analytics for Spotify already appear in your Riverside analytics dashboard once your episode is live on Spotify. Claiming your podcast on Spotify only affects what you see inside your Spotify for Creators account, such as deeper listener analytics, ratings, and reviews.
