Record solo

Record solo to create content that doesn't require guest participation, including tutorials, reviews, demos, internal communications, and educational or training videos.

  • Using a computer

    1. Log in to your Riverside account.
    2. Join a studio as the host.
    3. Start recording.
  • Using a phone

    iOS

    1. Using an iPhone, download and launch the Riverside mobile app.
    2. At the bottom of the screen, tap + Create.
    3. Tap record.png Record.
    4. Tap Join to enter the studio.
    5. At the bottom of your screen, from the recording modes, swipe to choose Solo.
    6. At the bottom of your screen, tap the recrod button.svg record button.

    Android

    1. Using an Android, download and launch the Riverside mobile app.
    2. At the bottom of the screen, tap + Create.
    3. Tap record.png Record.
    4. Tap Solo.
    5. At the bottom of your screen, tap the recrod button.svg record button.
  • Using macOS desktop app

    Solo recording - macos app
    1. Download and open the MacOS desktop app.
    2. To the right of Screen, click the arrow to and select what you want to record from the dropdown:
      • Screen: Record a specific screen
      • Window: Record an entire window
      • Cam-only: Record only your video and audio
    3. If this is your first time sharing your screen, macOS will prompt you to allow screen access. 
      Click Allow or Open System Settings.

      • If necessary, follow these steps to allow permissions within your System Settings.

    4. Click the visual-effects-wand-icon.svg Visual effects icon to add a blur or background.
    5. Click Record Screen.
      Riverside records your screen share as a high quality local track.
