Sync Riverside data to Marketo

Once you connect your Riverside account to Marketo, you can map webinar events to Marketo programs and sync registrant data. Registrants are automatically created or updated as leads in Marketo. 

Sync data manually

To sync your webinar data to Marketo, you'll need to map it to an existing Marketo program. If you don't have one yet, create it in Marketo first and set the program type to Event and the channel to Webinar.

  1. Log in to your Riverside account.
  2. Navigate to the relevant studio.
  3. From the side bar on the left, click Planner.
  4. On the calendar, find the scheduled webinar and click it to open the event summary.
  5. In the bottom right corner of the window, click Manage webinar.
  6. Click the Audience tab.
  7. In the right corner of the Registrants page, click Sync to.
  8. Click Marketo
  9. In the Select Marketo program panel, search for or select the program you want to sync this webinar with. 
  10. Click Save.

Change the mapped Marketo program

Change the mapped Marketo program to control where registrants sync or to map multiple webinars to a single program.

  1. Log in to your Riverside account.
  2. Navigate to the relevant studio.
  3. From the side bar on the left, click Planner.
  4. On the calendar, find the scheduled webinar and click it to open the event summary.
  5. In the bottom right corner of the window, click Manage webinar.
  6. Click the Audience tab.
  7. In the right corner of the Registrants page, click Sync to.
  8. Click Marketo
  9. Click Change program
  10. Search for or select a new Marketo program from the dropdown. 
  11. Click Save.

  • Registrants are automatically created or updated as leads in Marketo, and after the webinar ends, their program member status updates to reflect whether they attended or not.
  • Once you've mapped your webinar to a Marketo program, Riverside syncs your data automatically before your event starts.
  • A final full sync runs after the event ends to include complete attendance details. Automatic sync stops after the final post-event sync
