Publish to TikTok

« To Share and publish your content: Overview

Share your content straight to TikTok without extra steps. You can publish both exported clips and edits right away, or schedule them to publish at a future date and time. If your clip hasn’t been exported yet, we’ll guide you through the steps before publishing.

Step by step

  • Publish an export to TikTok

    1. Log in to your Riverside account.
    2. Navigate to the relevant studio.
    3. Select the relevant project.
    4. From the top menu, click Exports.
    5. In the bottom-right corner of the video, click Share.
    6. Select TikTok.
    7. Log in to your TikTok account.
    8. To choose a thumbnail:
      1. In the top left corner of the preview window, click the image-01.svg photo icon. 
      2. Click Choose frame
      3. Use the slider at the bottom of the video preview to select the frame to use as your thumbnail.
      4. Click Save.
    9. Add a Caption.
      Or click the Suggestion icon.svg Generate caption icon to auto-generate a caption for your post. 
    10. Under Who can watch this video, select your audience from the dropdown.
    11. Under Allow users to, check any interactions you'd like to allow: Comment, Duet, and/or Stitch.
    12. Toggle on Disclose video content if your video promotes a brand, product, or service.
    13. Click Publish.
      Your clip is published immediately.
  • Publish an edit or Magic asset to TikTok

    1. Log in to your Riverside account.
    2. Navigate to the relevant studio.
    3. Select the relevant project.
    4. From the top menu, click Edits or Made for you.
    5. In the bottom-right corner of your edit or Magic asset, click Share.
    6. Select TikTok.
    7. Export your edit:
      • Select Video quality.
      • Toggle Remove watermark to remove the watermark from the exported file.
      • Toggle Normalize audio levels to balance sound levels.
      • Toggle Remove background noise to reduce unwanted background noise.
    8. Click Export video.
    9. In the top-right corner, under Your export is ready, click Share to TikTok.
      If the pop-up disappears, you can still publish to TikTok via the steps listed under Publish an export to TikTok in the previous tab.
    10. Add a Caption.
    11. Under Who can watch this video, select your audience from the dropdown.
    12. Under Allow users to, check any interactions you'd like to allow: Comment, Duet, and/or Stitch.
    13. Toggle on Disclose video content if your video promotes a brand, product, or service.
    14. Click Publish.
      Your clip is published immediately.

Icon.svg Good to know

  • Publishing to TikTok is not available for clips that contain a Riverside watermark.
  • You can only log into one TikTok account per studio.
  • On TikTok, thumbnails can only be set by selecting a frame from your content. You cannot upload a file to use as the thumbnail.
