Control who can view and comment on your edit by locking your review link with a password, an expiration date, or both.

Step by step
- Log in to your Riverside account.
- Open a recording in the editor or upload an external file to start editing.
- In the top right corner of the editor, click Export.
- Under Collaborate, click Share preview link.
- Next to Protect with a password, click the toggle to turn it
on.
- Type a password in the Enter a password field
Or, click Generate to create a password automatically.
The password stays visible in this panel, so you can come back and copy it again any time. - Click the
copy icon next to the password field to copy the password and share it with your reviewers.
- Next to Set expiration date, click the toggle to turn it
on. (optional)
- Choose 24h, 7d, or 30d, or click Custom to set your own date and time.
The link's active expiration date and time appear below the options. - At the top of the Share preview link panel, click Copy link and send it to your reviewers.
Disable a review link
- Log in to your Riverside account.
- Open a recording in the editor or upload an external file to start editing.
- In the top right corner of the editor, click Export.
- From the export panel, click Share preview link.
- Click Disable link.
Anyone who opens the link after this sees an access expired message instead of your edit.
Good to know
- Reviewers open the link and type the password themselves. They don't need a Riverside account.
