Change microphone input in the studio

Most participants set up their camera and microphone inputs before entering the studio but sometimes may need to switch in the studio. Follow the steps below to change your own microphone input on a computer.

Step by step

1. Using a computer, join a studio.
2. In the menu at the bottom of the page, click the arrow in the top right corner of the Audio button.
3. Under Microphone, hover over the default microphone. 
   A menu shows any other microphones connected to your computer.
4. On the menu, click another microphone to switch to it.

IMPORTANT:
You cannot change input devices while recording. The host should stop the recording first. If your input source becomes disconnected while recording, the recording stops.

Good to know

• Use the Audio button to Mute mic at any time, even while recording.
