Riverside is having trouble getting a feed from your mic or camera.
Troubleshooting for:
- 'Browser preventing recording' message in the studio
- Browser Issue message in the studio
Suggested troubleshooting
- Refresh the Riverside studio browser tab.
- Close as many other programs on your computer as possible, especially any that could be using your camera or microphone.
- Update to the latest version of the Chrome, Safari, or Edge browser.
- Join the studio from a different browser.
- Restart your computer.
- In studio settings, choose standard resolution which requires less processing power on your device.
- Try using a different computer or a mobile device to record.
- If you're using a Mac, use the Riverside MacOS Desktop app.
- Have at least 5 GB of free space on your browser.
- Close and re-open your browser before recording.
- Temporarily turn off any browser extensions, VPNs, or firewalls.
The host or producer can also try to reduce the processing load required to record in the studio.
