How does data sync from Riverside to HubSpot?

Learn how Riverside data is stored and reflected in HubSpot, including event details, registration data, and activity and engagement data.

  • If the contact already exists in HubSpot (based on the email address), the data will be synced to the existing contact record rather than creating a duplicate.
  • For each Riverside event and registrant status (registered, attended, no-show) a static list is created in HubSpot.

Event details

  • Riverside Event Name is added as a custom contact property titled Last Event Name (Riverside).
    • If a contact participates in multiple events, only the most recent event name will be displayed.
  • Event Date and Time details are added as a custom contact property titled Last Event Time (Riverside)
    • Every time a contact signs up for a new event, the Last Event Name (Riverside) and Last Event Time (Riverside) contact properties will change in HubSpot.

Registration data

  • The First Name, Last Name, Country, Email, and Phone Number fields in Riverside are synced to their corresponding default contact properties in HubSpot.Group 672972451 (2).png
  • Riverside Text and Checkbox fields are added as custom contact properties in HubSpot.
  • UTM information captured from the registration URL is recorded in dedicated custom contact properties in HubSpot:
    • UTM Campaign (Riverside)
    • UTM Content (Riverside)
    • UTM Medium (Riverside)
    • UTM Source (Riverside)
    • UTM Term (Riverside)

Activity and Engagement Data

  • Contact's Riverside activity is recorded in a custom contact property titled Last Status (Riverside).
    • The property includes the values: approved, not approved, attended, or did not attend.

  • Questions that an attendee asks via Riverside Q&A are recorded in a custom contact property titled Last Event Questions (Riverside).
    • If multiple questions are submitted, they appear in reverse order, with the most recent question listed first.

Icon.svg Good to know

  • The registrant status static list is the only static list generated in HubSpot. If a contact attends another webinar, the new webinar data overrides the information in all other custom contact properties.
