Regenerate transcript in the editor

Regenerate your recording's transcript in the language actually spoken, without leaving the editor.

Step by step

  1. Log in to your Riverside account.
  2. Open a recording in the editor or upload an external file to start editing.
  1. At the top right corner of the transcription, click ••• [the three dots].
  2. From the menu, click Regenerate transcript.
  3. In the Language in recording dropdown, select the language spoken in the recording.
  4. To also set this as your studio's forced transcription language going forward, toggle on toggle-on.svg Use for future recordings.
  5. Click Regenerate.

  • Regenerating replaces the transcript on every edit and clip built from this recording, not just the one you're currently in.
  • Manual transcript corrections and videodubs do not carry over into the new transcript.
  • This regenerates the transcript in the language spoken, it doesn't translate it. To translate a recording into another language, generate AI Translation instead.
