Use follow voice in the teleprompter

Step by step

Turn on follow voice as the host or producer

  1. Join a studio session as the host or producer.

  2. At the bottom of the screen, click Teleprompter.
    The teleprompter opens in a separate window by default.

  3. Type or paste your text in the teleprompter.
  4. At the top of the teleprompter, toggle on toggle-on.svg Follow voice.
    While Follow voice is on, the Play button and scroll speed are unavailable because your voice controls the scrolling.
  5. Start reading your text. The teleprompter scrolls to match your pace.
    If you pause or go off script, the teleprompter holds its place. When you pick up from where you left off, the teleprompter continues scrolling.
  6. To return to the top of the teleprompter, click Restart.
    To return to scrolling at a set speed, toggle off toggle-off-grey_36x24.svg Follow voice.

Use follow voice with guests

  1. Click Share at the top of the teleprompter.
  2. Select the guests to share the teleprompter with.
  3. Toggle on toggle-on.svg Follow voice.
    The teleprompter follows the voice of whoever is reading, so you and your guests can each read your own parts of the text.

Icon.svg Good to know

  • Follow voice supports English only.

  • Guests with Full control can toggle Follow voice on or off.
  • When follow voice is turned on, the teleprompter does not follow a producer's voice.
  • For the most accurate scrolling, read close to your script and keep your mic unmuted.
