Remove pauses and silences

Use the editor's AI tools to cut all the pauses, gaps, and silences identified in your recording with one click. This can make your content feel faster-paced and more engaging.

Step by step

Using a computer browser
1. On a computer, log in to your Riverside account.
2. Open a recording in the editor or upload an external file to start editing.
3. On the editor toolbar, click AI Tools.
4. Next to Remove pauses, click Apply.
5. Drag the slider to adjust the amount of pauses included.
To restore all pauses, click Revert to original.
Steps on the iOS mobile app
- Open a recording from the iOS mobile app.
- At the bottom of the screen, tap the Ask Co-Creator text field.
- Use the Riverside Co-Creator to remove pauses and silences from your clip.
Steps on the Android mobile app
- Open a recording from the Android mobile app.
  On the Android mobile app, you can create new edits, but you are not able to make changes to in-progress edits made on a computer.
- Tap the AI Tools icon at the bottom of the screen.
- Toggle on Remove pauses.
- Drag the slider to adjust the amount of pauses included.
- To restore all pauses, toggle off Remove pauses.
