Use Riverside’s Co-Creator in the editor to polish your recordings, apply edits, and instantly create platform-ready assets. Instead of editing manually, you can ask Co-Creator to improve the audio and video, apply your brand kit, or generate edits tailored for platforms like Instagram, YouTube, and more.

Step by step
- Log in to your Riverside account.
- Open a recording in the editor or upload an external file to start editing.
From the top of the editor toolbar, click Co-Creator.
Click Suggestions to choose a ready-made prompt, or type your own prompt directly in the Co-Creator chat box.
Click the
Send button in the Co-Creator chat box.
Co-Creator notifies you in the chat when an edit is applied, or shows your generated asset in the chat when it’s ready.
Generate thumbnails
Available on Live plan and up
Create platform-ready thumbnails based on the content of your recording. Co-Creator analyzes your transcript and video to highlight speakers, suggest a fitting tagline, and generate background and style options that match your content.
- Log in to your Riverside account.
- Open a recording in the editor or upload an external file to start editing.
From the top of the editor toolbar, click Co-Creator.

In the Co-Creator chat box, click the Thumbnail suggestion.
Or type a custom prompt, such as Generate thumbnails for this edit.
Select which style thumbnail you want.
Select a title.
Wait for Co-Creator to generate thumbnails.
Click a thumbnail to download it.

To refine a thumbnail, type a follow-up prompt to adjust specific elements, such as:
Face expression
Background
Text size or color
Highlighting or emphasis
Good to know
- Video assets generated with Co-Creator can be added to your project and appear under Edits, or opened directly in the editor for further customization.
- If you are on a Pro plan or up, your preferences are applied when you generate clips.
- To clear the chat, click the
three dots icon in the top right corner of the Co-Creator panel and click Clear chat.
- The
Revert changes button is only available during your current editing session. After reopening, some edits can still be reverted in the AI Tools panel (for example, Improve Sound or Remove Pauses).
- Thumbnails cannot be generated for:
- Audio-only recordings
- Diarized videos
- Recordings without a transcript
- Recordings where no single clear face is detected
- Archived recordings
