Troubleshooting for:
- The microphone you've connected to your device isn't working on the Riverside iOS app.
Suggested troubleshooting steps
Please note that some external USB-C mics, like the Shure MV7, Samson Q2U, and Maono DGM 20 are not compatible with iOS 17 on the iPad.
- Ensure you are correctly connecting the mic to your device.
- Confirm your external mic is compatible with the latest iOS and macOS updates.
- Confirm if your device is compatible with our system requirements.
- Check that you're using the most up-to-date Riverside app by going to the app store and seeing if there's a new version to download.
- Do not update the app if you have a recording that is still uploading. Complete the upload before updating the app.
- Make sure Speak/Listen Mode is configured correctly.
- If you didn't see the pop-up regarding wired headphones, follow the steps at the bottom of the article in the dropdown The Wired connection pop-up disappeared. How do I trigger it again?.
- Close all other applications that are not relevant to using Riverside.
- Restart your device.
- Unplug the external mic from your device and then replug it.
- Test the mic with another application to check if the issue is specific to Riverside.
