Live stream: Set YouTube privacy settings

Live stream privately on YouTube so that only specific people see the stream.

Step by step

  1. If you haven't already, connect your YouTube account to Riverside.
  2. Sign in to your Youtube channel.
  3. Change your privacy settings to private.
  4. Navigate back to your Riverside account.
  5. In the side bar on the right, select Stream.
    Or, click the justheplus.svg Manage live stream in the top right corner of the screen.
  6. At the top of the panel next to Live stream, click the toggle toggle-on.svg to turn it on.
  7. Click the ••• [three dots] on the the YouTube card.
  8. Click Edit details.
  9. Under Privacy, select Private.

When you start the live stream, the stream is private on your YouTube account.

  • Private YouTube streams are visible only to people you choose to share them with. Set the stream to Private in both Riverside and YouTube, then add specific email addresses in your YouTube video details to give people access.
