Live stream to Facebook using the Meta Business Suite

You can access the Create live video page from the Meta Business Suite on Facebook to set up a Riverside live stream.

Step by step

  1. Log in to your Facebook or Instagram account at business.facebook.com.
    • Make sure you've enabled live streaming for this account.
  2. In the menu on the left, click the ≡ All tools button.
  3. On the All tools menu, choose Live Streaming.

  4. In the top right corner of the Live Streaming dashboard, click Set Up Live Stream.

  5. On the Create live video page, click Go live or Create event.

  6. On the next page, under Select a Video Source, click Streaming software.
  7. Click Advanced settings.
  8. Toggle on Persistent stream key.
  9. Under to Stream key, click Copy.
  10. Open the Custom RTMP live stream settings on Riverside.
  11. On Riverside, in the Stream Key field, paste the Stream Key.
  12. On Facebook, open the Advanced settings tab
  13. Under Server URL, click Copy.

  14. In Riverside, in the Stream URL field, paste the Server URL.
  15. Click Add in Riverside.
  16. Next to your Facebook group destination, make sure the toggle toggle-on.svg is on.
  17. Add a title for the stream. 
  18. At the bottom of your Riverside studio, click Go live.
  19. Click Start recording to start the live stream.
  20. On the bottom-left corner of the Facebook live stream page, click Go Live to start the live stream feed.
    It can take around 30 seconds for the video to appear on Facebook.
