Live stream to Facebook profile

Live stream your Riverside recording session to your Facebook Timeline profile to reach a broader audience. You can also live stream to a Facebook page or Facebook group, or schedule a live stream for a later time.

Before you start

To live stream to a Facebook profile, you must have:

  1. Join a studio session as the host or producer.
  2. At the top of the studio, click + Live stream.
     Or, click the justheplus.svg add live stream destination icon.
  3. Next to Live stream to social, click the toggle toggle-on.svg to turn it on.
  4. Select facebook-circle.svg Facebook.
  5. In the Connect your Facebook account pop-up, choose Facebook profile.
  6. Click Continue with Facebook.
  7. Log in to Facebook.
  8. Click connect.
  9. Under Connect your Facebook profile, choose the profile to connect to Riverside.
  10. Click Got it.
  11. (If necessary) Set the permissions on your Facebook profile to reach a public audience.

    1. Inside Facebook, click on your profile icon.

    2. Go to Settings.

    3. Scroll down and select Business Integrations.

    4. Find Riverside and click View and Edit.

    5. Under Audience integration, set it to Public.
      After making this change, all streams from Riverside to your Facebook profile will be public by default.

  12. Go back to the studio.
  13. Next to your Facebook profile, make sure it is toggle-on.svg toggled on.
  14. Add a title for the stream. 
  15. At the bottom of your Riverside studio, click Go live.
  16. Click Start recording to start the live stream.
    It can take around 30 seconds for the video to appear on Facebook.

Icon.svg Good to know 

  • If your Facebook profile is already connected, skip the connection steps and follow the steps to go live in the studio.
  • If you've already connected a Facebook profile, you can connect an additional profile by following these steps. This does not replace the profile you already connected.
  • You can stream to multiple Facebook profiles or pages simultaneously.
