  1. Log in to your Riverside account.
  2. Open a recording in the editor.
  3. Apply smart layouts to quickly and accurately add scenes to your recording.
    • Or, manually add a scene to the recording timeline, to determine where you would like to apply the layout.
  4. On the timeline, click the scene to select it.
The selected scene is highlighted in purple.
  5. Under the video canvas, click Layout.
  6. In the layout library, choose a layout from one of the categories:
    • Solo speaker
    • One-on-one
    • Sharing content
    • Multi-speaker
Click Show all to see all layout options in each category.
  7. Choose whether to apply the layout to only this scene or to all similar scenes. From the menu below the video canvas:

    • Select This scene to apply the layout only to the current scene.

    • Select Similar scenes to apply the layout only to the scenes that have the same participants and currently share the same layout.
