View version history in the editor

See every saved version of your edit and preview or restore any moment from its history.

Step by step

  1. Log in to your Riverside account.
  2. Open a recording in the editor or upload an external file to start editing.
  1. Edit your recording. 
  2. Next to the edit's name, hover over the cloud-checkmark.svg version history icon.
    A tooltip shows when the edit was last saved.
  3. Click View version history.
    The Version history panel opens on the right, listing every saved version grouped by day and by editor.
  4. Hover over a past version, then click View to preview it.
    The timeline loads that version in read-only preview mode. Play, scrub, and zoom the timeline without making any changes.

Good to know

  • Riverside groups versions made by the same editor within about 15 minutes into a single row (for example, "5 versions"), so the list stays easy to scan.
  • Restoring a version doesn't delete anything. It adds the restored content as a new version at the top of the list, so every earlier version stays available.
