- If you're streaming to Facebook, we highly recommend using a persistent stream key.

This Stream Key may only work for a single live stream. We recommend creating a new Stream URL and Stream Key each time you stream to avoid connection issues. - When you're ready to stream, next to Live stream to social, click the toggle
to turn it on.
- This toggle must be turned on for Riverside to connect to your destination platforms.
- Click Go live to start the live stream.
It can take around 30 seconds for the video to appear on the website you're streaming to. - If required, start the live stream on the destination platform.
IMPORTANT:
Some custom RTMP destinations require you to start the live stream on their platform after clicking Go live in Riverside. Until the stream is started on the destination platform, your live stream may not be visible to viewers.
Good to know
- The connection stays in your list of destination platforms, however many custom RTMP destinations generate a new Stream URL and Stream Key for each live stream. Reusing old credentials can cause connection issues.
- You can set up multiple custom RTMP connections in your studio.
- RTMP connections appear in the list of all of your connected destination platforms inside your studio. Make sure the toggle is in the on position
before streaming.
- Scheduled livestreams are not supported for custom RTMP.
