By default, video mirroring is enabled in the studio. This flips your video horizontally, similar to how you see your reflection in a mirror. To disable video mirroring, follow the steps below.
NOTE:
Whether you have mirroring turned on or off, participants always see your video without mirroring. The recorded video track is also not mirrored.
Step by step
- Using your computer, join a Riverside studio.
- From the studio sidebar, click the
settings icon.
- Click Open all settings at the bottom of the panel.
- Next to Mirror Video, toggle off
to disable it.
When the toggle is off, your video will not be mirrored.
Good to know
- With mirroring on (default)
- Your view: Mirrored view; you look more familiar to yourself, like you see yourself in a mirror, but any text is reversed.
- Participant view and recording: Not mirrored; participants still see your video without mirroring and the recorded video is not mirrored.
- With mirroring off
- Your view: Not mirrored
- Participant view and recording: Not mirrored.
