Apply video touch-ups in the studio

Video touch-ups let you adjust your on-camera appearance before or during a studio session, including skin smoothing and lighting improvements.

Step by step

  • Apply video touch-ups before entering the studio

    1. From your computer browser or MacOS desktop app, join a Riverside studio.
    2. On the lobby page, hover over your video tile in the video preview and click the visual-effects-wand-icon.svg Visual effects icon.
    3. On the panel, click the Appearance tab.
    4. Toggle on the video touch-up options, including:
      • Touch up: Smooth your skin on camera
        • Select Subtle or Smooth
      • Face lighting: Improve lighting on your face
      • Studio lighting: Brighten or dim the lighting in your sene
        • Drag the slider to adjust the light level
    5. Click the X to close Visual effects panel.
    6. Click Join studio and enter the recording session.
  • Apply video touch-ups in the studio

    1. From your computer browser or MacOS desktop appjoin a Riverside studio.
    2. If a recording is in progress, stop it before continuing.
    3. Hover over your video tile and click the visual-effects-wand-icon.svg Visual effects icon.
    4. On the panel, click the Appearance tab.
    5. Toggle on the video-touch up options, including:
      • Touch up: Smooth your skin on camera
        • Select Subtle or Smooth
      • Face lighting: Improve lighting on your face
      • Studio lighting: Brighten or dim the lighting in your sene
        • Drag the slider to adjust the light level
    6. Click the X to close Visual effects panel.

  • Video touch-ups are not available while a recording is in progress.
