Get live, on-screen guidance in the studio lobby that centers your shot and brightens your lighting, so you are camera ready before you begin recording.

Step by step
- Join a studio as the host, producer, or guest.
In the studio lobby, by default, a frame with corner brackets, and gridlines appear over your camera preview. - If the corner brackets aren't green, follow the directions that appear in the top left corner of the preview to center yourself in the frame.
- To hide or show the framing guides, click the
framing and lighting icon in the top right corner of the preview.
- Once you are centered, if your lighting should be improved, you will receive a Tip pop-up.
- Click Adjust lighting.
- In the Background and effects panel on the right, next to Screen glow, click the toggle on
.
A ring light will appear around your camera preview. - Adjust the sliders until your lighting looks right.
Screen glow reveals two sliders: one for brightness (Dim to Bright), and one for color temperature (Warmer to Cooler).
For the best effect, raise your screen's display brightness. - Close the Background and effects panel.
- Click Join studio to start your recording session.
Adjust or disable screen glow
- In the top right corner of your camera preview, click the
Effects icon.
- In the Background and effects panel, click the Appearance tab.
- Under Screen glow, adjust the sliders.
Click the toggle offto disable it.
Good to know
- These guides are suggestions only. They never block you from joining a studio session.
- If toggled on, the ring light will continue to show in the recording studio. This is never included in your recording or stream and is only viewable to you.
- The framing guides are only viewable in the studio lobby, not in the recording studio.
