To manage guests, monitor audio, and make sure everything runs smoothly without being seen, heard, or recorded, join the studio as a producer.
Like the host, you can start and stop a recording. If you enable your camera, you can be seen by all other participants, including audience members and anyone watching a live stream.

Step by step
Follow the steps below based on if you're using a computer or your mobile device.

Join a studio as a producer using a computer browser
- Log in to your Riverside account.
- Navigate to the relevant studio.
- From the side bar on the left, click Home.
- At the top of the page, click Record.
- Click the dropdown next to Your Name and select Producer.
- In the Producer role window, click Continue to setup.
- Enter your name.
- Use the menus to select camera, speaker, and microphone.
- Click Test next to the speaker and microphone dropdown to check your audio input and output.
- Click to indicate whether you are using headphones.
- If you haven't used Riverside before, click Request Camera Permissions so the browser can access your microphone and camera. Click Allow.
- Click Join Studio to join the call.

Join a studio as a producer using the mobile or Mac apps
Only external producers can join a studio using the Riverside mobile and MacOS apps.
- Download and launch Riverside mobile app.
- Accept the invite access link from the host or an invite email from notifications@Riverside.fm.
If it's a studio invite link, tap the link on your mobile device.
If it's in an invite email, open the email on your mobile device and tap Join Session.

If you're using the iOS app, this opens the device's mobile browser. At the bottom of the page, tap
Join studio via app.
- On the lobby screen, preview your video and enter Your Name, and tap Done.
- If asked to grant access to the microphone and camera, tap Allow.
- Tap Join to enter the studio as a producer.
Good to know
- While you can't be seen or heard during a recording, your screen shares and presentations are visible to the audience and will be recorded and available to download as a high-quality track.
- Unless you are in a Riverside for Business account, you must join the studio as the host for access to the Media Board.
- When you join your own studio as a producer in the mobile app, you must also join as the host on a mobile device or a computer to start and stop the recording.
