Step by step
We recommend using Smart layouts first to quickly and accurately apply dynamic layouts to your recording.
- Open a recording in the editor.
- Click the timeline to move the playhead to the scene you want to customize.
- Above the video player, click Design.
- Under Spacing, drag the slider to create spaces between the video tiles. This creates space for your background frame.
- Next to Background, click the plus button.
- Click Image to choose an image as a background. Click the upload icon to upload an image to use.
- Click Color to choose a solid color as a background from the spectrum picker.
- Click your desired image or color to immediately apply it as a background frame
Good to know
- The background appears only in the scene you applied it to. If your video doesn’t have any scenes, the background applies to the entire recording.
- You can set up a default design for your brand, including a background frame, spacing, and corner styles, by setting up your brand kit in the editor.
