Likely causes:
These errors are often caused by browser interactions with Riverside. Restarting your device and reconfiguring your browser usually resolve the error.
Suggested troubleshooting steps
- Restart your browser.
- Restart your computer.
- Update to the latest version of the Chrome or Edge browser.
- Create a new profile in the browser.

Clear your browser's cache and cookies.
- Do not clear your browser's cache if you have local tracks that have not uploaded yet.
- Update to the latest version of the Chrome, Safari, or Edge browser.
- If using Chrome, try using Edge to join the studio.
If using Edge, try using Chrome. - Confirm that Riverside has permission to access your mic and camera.
- Close as many other programs on your computer as possible, especially any that could be using your camera or microphone.
- Temporarily disable any VPN, adblocker, browser extension, or network firewall.
- In studio settings, choose standard resolution which requires less processing power on your device.
- Have at least 5 GB of free space on your browser.
- Try using a different computer or a mobile device to record.
