Download public chat from the studio

Before you leave a webinar or live stream, save a copy of the chat to use after the session ends.

Step by step

Download chat during the session

  1. On a computer, enable public chat
  2. Start a webinar or live stream. 
  3. On the right side menu, click chat-message-circle.svg Chat.
  4. At the top of the chat, click the download-track.svg Download icon.
    A TXT file of all chat messages is saved to your computer.

Download webinar chat after the session

  1. Log in to your Riverside account.
  2. Navigate to the relevant studio.
  3. From the sidebar on the left, click Planner.
  1. Click the Webinar you want to access to open the panel.
  2. Click Manage webinar. 
  3. On the Webinar Overview page, next to Chat, click Download.

Icon.svg Good to know

  • You can only download the messages that were sent while you were in the studio and are displayed in your browser.
  • The TXT file includes each message along with the sender's name, role, and a timestamp (with your local time). The file does not include any messages sent between participants in private chats.
