Step by step

From the toolbar
- Log in to your Riverside account.
- Open a recording in the editor or upload an external file to start editing.
- On the timeline, move the playhead to the desired location.
- In the editing toolbar, click Videos.
- In the Videos panel, search the video library by keyword.
Or clickUpload to choose a video file from your computer.

Drag and drop the video onto the video canvas to add it to your edit.
Or, click the video. - On the canvas, click and drag the video's
corners to resize it or its
edges to crop it.
- Click the video overlay to open its menu. Then:
- Click the
Volume icon and drag the slider to adjust the volume.
- Click the
Fill video icon to fill the frame, and click the
Minimize icon to make it smaller.
- Click the
Trash icon to remove the video, .
- Click the ••• [three dots] to change its layer, copy, or duplicate it.
- Click the
- Adjust the overlay's duration on the timeline.

From the transcript
- Log in to your Riverside account.
- Open a recording in the editor or upload an external file to start editing.
- On the transcript, click and select when you want the video overlay to appear.
- On the context menu, click
Add and choose Video.
- In the Videos panel, search the video library by keyword.
Or clickUpload button to choose a video file from your computer.
- To view the video larger and see more details, hover over it and click
Preview.

Good to know
- Video overlays can overlap music overlays and other video overlays.
- A video overlay will always appear behind an image overlay, text overlay, or captions.
