Adjust duration of timeline asset in the editor

After adding an element to the editor like an image overlay or text overlay, you can control when it shows up in the video.

Step by step

  1. Log in to your Riverside account.
  2. Open a recording in the editor or upload an external file to start editing.
  1. Double-click the asset on the video canvas.
    Or, click the asset in the timeline.
  2. To change its duration, click and drag the overlay bar's start/end handles.
  3. To move it on the timeline, click and drag the bar.
    When you drag an overlay on the timeline, it automatically snaps to nearby cuts, scenes, and sections.

You can also select part of the transcript before you add an overlay to give it a specific duration.
