Display a single track in the editor

« To Video tracks layout and formatting in the editor: Overview

You can choose to display a single track while hiding all other video tracks during a scene. This is an effective way to highlight a single speaker or a screen share in a specific segment of your video.

We recommend using smart layouts first to quickly and accurately apply dynamic layouts to your recording.

  1. Log in to your Riverside account.
  2. Open a recording in the editor or upload an external file to start editing.
  1. Click on the participant's tile you want to fill the recording canvas with.
  2. Click the maximize-2.svg Full screen icon.
The track fills the screen and all other participants are removed for the duration of that scene.
  3. Choose whether to apply the Full screen to only this scene or to all similar scenes. From the menu below the video canvas:

    • Select This scene to apply the Full screen only to the current scene.

    • Select Similar scenes to apply the Full screen only to the scenes that have the same participants and currently share the same layout.

Please note that the audio for all participants is still included, even when their track is hidden or another speaker's track fills the recording canvas. However, you can mute each participant's audio for that segment and you can create and export an audio-only clip (MP3 or WAV).
