Troubleshooting for:
- The YouTube playlist used for publishing your podcast was manually deleted by you or someone else with access.
You see the message: "Looks like your podcast was deleted from YouTube. Recreate it to continue publishing there."
When a connected playlist or channel is deleted from YouTube, Riverside can no longer publish new episodes there. YouTube does not support restoring deleted playlists or channels. Once deleted, they are permanently removed from YouTube’s system.
Suggested troubleshooting steps
- Click Recreate in Riverside. This creates a new playlist or channel and reconnects it to your show, just as if you were setting it up for the first time.
- Any YouTube-side analytics tied to the deleted playlist, such as views, watch time, and playlist performance, are not recoverable. The new playlist has no history, and the original data is lost.
- After reconnection, Riverside will resume publishing new episodes to the newly created playlist.
