Connect external USB camera on iPad

On iPads with a USB-C connector running iPadOS 17 and later, you can connect an external USB webcam to your iPad and use it as your camera input when recording on Riverside. This gives you more flexibility over your video quality and setup.

Connect external camera to ipad

Step by step 

  1. Open the Riverside mobile app on an iPad with a USB-C connector running iPadOS17 or later.

  2. Connect your external camera.

  3. Below the Record button, tap the camera name to open the input selector.

  4. Select your preferred camera.
    Riverside immediately uses the newly selected input.
