Lock or unlock tracks on the timeline

Keep every track in sync automatically, or unlock them when you need to move one independently.

Step by step

  1. Log in to your Riverside account.
  2. Open a recording in the editor.
  3. Click the Group 672972431.svg Separate tracks icon.
  4. To unlock the tracks, click the lock-02.svg lock icon.
  5. Click and drag any track to reposition it.
  6. To relock the tracks, click the lock-unlocked-02.svg unlock icon. 

Good to know

  • Tracks are locked by default so you don't accidentally push them out of sync.
  • A closed padlock means the timeline is locked. An open padlock means it's unlocked.
