Before you start
To live stream to X, you must:
- Have X Premium, with access to X's Media Studio.
- Adjust your privacy settings in X.
- See also: Technical specifications for live videos on X
- Sign in to all relevant accounts (potentially in separate profiles) if you want to stream from multiple accounts.
Set up the live stream connection to X and go live
- Join a studio session as the host or producer.
- At the top of the studio, click + Live stream.
Or, click theadd live stream destination icon.
- Next to Live stream to social, click the toggle
to turn it on.
- Select
X (Twitter).
- In the new window, sign in to your X account.
You are redirected back to Riverside. - In the Connect your X account pop-up, click your X account.
- Next to your X account, make sure the toggle
is on.
- Add a title and description for the stream.
- At the bottom of your Riverside studio, click Go live.
- Click Start recording to start the live stream.
It can take around 30 seconds for the video to appear on X.
Good to know
- If your X account is already connected, skip the connection steps and follow the steps to go live in the studio.
- Live events hosted on X are limited to 6 hours per stream. This limit is set by X and cannot be extended or changed in Riverside.
- Do not adjust privacy settings in Riverside once you've started the stream. This can disrupt the connection with X.
