This article explains when a discount code can be applied directly during checkout.

Step by step

Follow these steps to apply a discount code when upgrading from the Free plan to a paid plan.

1. On a computer, log into your account.
2. In the bottom left corner, click the account menu button.
3. Click Upgrade plan.
4. At the top of the page, toggle between the available plans to choose the one you want to upgrade to.
5. Under the selected plan, click Start your free trial.
   The checkout page opens.
6. Toggle between Monthly or Yearly billing.
7. Click Add code.
8. Enter the discount code and click Apply.
9. Under Pay with card, confirm that the email address matches your Riverside account's email address.
10. Enter or update your payment information.
11. Click Subscribe.

IMPORTANT: 
You need to enter your credit card details to start the trial, but you are charged only after the trial ends.

Good to know

• You can cancel at any time before the trial ends to avoid being charged.
• Discount codes cannot be used for Business plans.
