Apply a discount code

Riverside occasionally offers discount codes for people who want to start a paid subscription. This article explains when a discount code can be applied directly during checkout.

Step by step

Follow these steps to apply a discount code when upgrading from the Free plan to a paid plan.

1. On a computer, log into your account.
2. In the bottom left corner, click the account menu button.
3. Click Settings.

4. On the left, under Your account, click Subscription.
5. Click Upgrade plan.
6. At the top of the page, toggle between the available plans to choose the one you want to upgrade to.
7. Click See pricing.
8. Choose between Yearly and Monthly billing, based on the conditions of the discount code.
9. Under the selected plan, click Start your free trial.
   The checkout page opens.
10. Toggle between Monthly or Yearly billing.
11. Click Add code.
12. Enter the discount code and click Apply.
13. Under Pay with card, confirm that the email address matches your Riverside account's email address.
14. Enter or update your payment information.
15. Click Subscribe.

IMPORTANT: 
Upgrading to a paid plan starts a 14 day free trial. You need to enter your credit card details to start the trial, but you are charged only after the trial ends.

Good to know

• You can cancel at any time before the trial ends to avoid being charged.
• You can only apply a discount code yourself when upgrading from the Free plan.
• Discount codes cannot be used for Business plans.
