Live stream: Schedule a live stream to social platforms

« To Live streaming: Overview

Schedule live streams in advance and stream them directly to social media platforms such as YouTube or LinkedIn, making it easy to build excitement and plan effectively. Once the session is created, you can go live at the scheduled time without any additional setup in the studio.

Please note that all live streams to LinkedIn must be pre-scheduled according to LinkedIn policy.

  7. At the bottom of the studio, click Go live to start the live stream and recording.
It can take around 10 seconds for the video to appear on the sites you are live streaming to.

  • To delete a scheduled live stream, remove the event on Riverside and delete the event from the destination platform.
  • To reschedule an event on LinkedIn, you must do so directly on LinkedIn. Changes made in the Riverside event do not reflect on LinkedIn after initial scheduling.
  • On platforms that do not support scheduling in advance (e.g., Twitch, X or Facebook), your stream will go live immediately when you start it from Riverside, but no pre-scheduled, public-facing placeholder for your upcoming stream will be generated.
  • You can stream to an existing social media event if that event provides a stream key and URL. Connect Riverside to the event via RTMP to stream, and be sure to follow all directions on the destination platform.
  • If you stop a scheduled live stream to YouTube or LinkedIn, the connection to the scheduled session ends. Restarting will create a new stream that viewers are not automatically directed to.
