Step by step
- Log in to your Riverside account.
- Open a recording in the editor or upload an external file to start editing.

When a new edit loads, Find fluff automatically generates suggestions. Suggested cuts will be shown in both the transcript and timeline.
- On the transcript, AI suggestions are underlined and appear as
AI comment icons on the right side, aligned with the corresponding text.
- On the timeline, AI suggestions appear as
purple bubbles above the relevant spot.
Or, click on AI tools and next to Find fluff click Review.

For each suggestion, you can:
- Apply to remove the highlighted section from your edit.
- Ignore to keep the content as is.
- Resolve to mark the suggestion as handled without changing the edit.
After you take an action, you’ll be moved to the next suggestion.
Edit an AI suggestion
Suggestions appear in a comment. Follow the process below to edit the comment accompanying the underlined text.
- In the comment panel, next to AI producer, click ••• [the three dots].
- Click Edit.
- Edit your text.
- Click Save.
Reply to an AI suggestion
When you reply to an AI suggestion, your response is added as part of a comment thread, keeping all related discussions grouped together.
- Under the AI suggestion comment, type in your reply.
- Click Reply.
Delete an AI suggestion
Deleting an AI suggestion thread permanently removes the entire thread, including all replies. Deleted threads cannot be recovered.
- On the top right of the comment panel, click ••• [the three dots].
- Click Delete thread.
- Click Remove.
Copy link to an AI suggestion
- On the top right of the comment panel, click ••• [the three dots].
- Click Copy link to comment.
The link to the comment is copied to your clipboard.
Business users can copy and share a link to a specific comment to direct a team member to a particular point in the discussion and resolve feedback more efficiently.
Non-business users cannot invite others to collaborate directly within Riverside, but they can copy comments for note-taking, tracking progress, or future reference.
