Follow these steps when:
- You see one of the following error messages:
- "Studio isn't live yet"
- "Live stream locked"
- "Private studio"
- You cannot see other people in the studio
- You cannot turn on mic or camera to record
Likely causes:
If you are a guest for a recording session, the studio invite link may accidentally be for an audience member instead of a guest.
If you are an audience member watching a live stream or webinar, the host may have configured the studio incorrectly.
Suggested troubleshooting steps
- If you were expecting to join the recording session as a guest, ask the host to send a new studio invite link again for the correct role as plain text, like in the body of a new email. Or they can send it directly to you in an email from Riverside.
- If you were expecting to watch the recording session as a live stream in the audience, the host needs to change the studio from private to public for audience members and start the stream.
- You may also need to reload the page.
- You may be logged in as the editor member role in a Riverside for Business account.
- Ask the host to send the studio invite link again for the correct role as plain text, like in the body of a new email. Or they can send it directly to you in an email from Riverside.
