Center, crop, or zoom in and out on a speaker in the editor

You can center a speaker's video in the frame and zoom in or out to create a polished and professional appearance for your content.

Step by step

We recommend using smart layouts first to quickly and accurately apply dynamic layouts to your recording.

  1. Log in to your Riverside account.
  2. Open a recording in the editor or upload an external file to start editing.
  1. Click on the speaker's tile in the video canvas.
  2. Above the speaker's tile, click the crop.svg crop icon.

  3. Drag the video to position the speaker in the center of the frame.
  4. Above the speaker's tile, drag the bar to zoom in or out
    Or click the zoom-in.svg zoom-in and zoom-out.svg zoom-out buttons for precise adjustments.
  5. Choose how to apply the adjustment to the speaker's track. From the menu below the video canvas:

    • Select This scene to apply the crop only to the current scene
    • Select Similar scenes to apply the crop to all scenes with the same track and layout.
    • Select All scenes to apply the crop to this track in every scene of the edit.

  6. Click outside the speaker's tile to apply the changes.
