Set default preferences for Magic Clips

Set default preferences for your Magic Clips to automatically apply your unique editing style to all of the Magic Clips you generate. Automate repetitive editing tasks with smart workflows, designed to streamline the process and free up more time for content creation.

Step by step

  1. Log in to your Riverside account.
  2. Navigate to the relevant studio.
  3. Select the relevant project.
  1. From the top menu, click Made for You.
  2. Next to Magic Clips, click Personalize
  3. Next to Ratio, click the current aspect ratio (in purple).
    • From the drop-down, choose your desired aspect ratio or select Audio only
  4. Next to Layout, click the current layout (in purple).
    • From the drop-down, choose how everyone's video tracks are displayed.  
    • If you select Smart Layouts, a control panel opens allowing you to adjust how frequently camera switches occur.
  5. Next to Duration, click the current duration (in purple).
    • From the drop-down, select your preferred duration for Magic Clips.
  6. Next to Brand, toggle on toggle-on.svg to automatically apply your branding to Magic Clips.
    • Toggle off toggle-off-grey_36x24.svg, if you prefer not to apply your branding. 
  7. Next to Remove pausestoggle on toggle-on.svg to automatically cut the pauses, gaps, and silences as Magic Clips are generated from your recording.
    • Click the current pace (in purple) and drag the slider to adjust the amount of pauses included in the clip.
    • Next to Apply to screenshares & media, check the box to remove silences during screenshares and videos played during the recording.
  8. Next to Remove filler words, toggle on toggle-on.svg to automatically remove filler words in Magic Clips. 
  9. Next to Smart Mute toggle on toggle-on.svg to automatically mute people who aren’t speaking.
    • Click the current Smart Mute setting (in purple).
    • Choose if you want to apply Smart Mute to All participants or Guests only.
  10. Next to Magic Audio toggle on toggle-on.svg to automatically enhance audio for Magic Clips.
    • Click the current Magic Audio setting (in purple).
    • Choose if you want to apply Magic Audio to All participants or Guests only.
  11. Click Save
  12. To reset the default preferences for your Magic Clips, click reset to default.

  • Default preferences for Magic Clips are saved at the studio level. 
  • Default preferences are used when generating clips with Co-Creator.
