Generate AI B-roll videos

Generate AI B-roll

Text to video

  1. Log in to your Riverside account.
  2. Open a recording in the editor or upload an external file to start editing.
  1. From the editor toolbar, click Videos.
  2. At the bottom of the video panel, click the Generate your AI B-Roll textbox.

  3. Under Generate video, type a text prompt to describe your video.
    By default, the generator is set to Veo3.
    To switch, click the dropdown and select Pika. 

  4. If using Veo3, choose whether to include audio by toggling on Generate with audio.

  5. If using Pika, click the plus icon above the prompt to add scene ingredients:

    • Under Participants, select one or more participants to include.

    • Under Images, choose one of the following:

      • Upload a new image

      • Select a stock image

      • Choose from your uploaded images

  6. When you're ready, click the Icon.svg Generate icon.

  7. Under Media usage agreement, click Confirm.
    Your generated video is added to the Uploads section of the editor toolbar.

  8. To regenerate the video, hover over it and click Retry.
    To remove a video from the Uploads panel, hover over it and click the trash.svg Remove icon.
  9. Once your video is ready, you can either add it as a video overlay or insert it directly into the recording timeline

Image to video

  1. Log in to your Riverside account.
  2. Open a recording in the editor or upload an external file to start editing.
  1. Add an image overlay.
  2. Click the image on the video canvas.
  3. Select Make video.

  4. In the camera movement panel, choose a preset.

  5. Click Generate video.
    Your generated video is added to the Uploads section of the editor toolbar.
  6. To regenerate the video, hover over it and click Retry.
    To remove a video from the Uploads panel, hover over it and click the trash.svg Remove icon.
  7. Once your video is ready, you can either add it as a video overlay or insert it directly into the recording timeline

  • This feature is part of a limited-time rollout and may include usage limits.

  • Each Veo3 generation costs 2 AI credits and produces ~8 seconds of high-quality video per prompt.

  • Each Pika generation costs 1 AI credit and supports image-to-video.

  • Veo3 supports text prompts only. Switching from Pika back to Veo3 retains your text prompt but removes any images.
